Website Design & Development
A New Website Begins with a Clear Purpose.
Before design begins, we clarify what the website needs to communicate, who it is for, and what action it should help visitors take. We then define the structure, content, experience, and required features around those needs.
Who Is This Service For?
This service is for professionals and businesses that do not yet have an independent website, or want to create a new digital presence from the ground up. Their goals may include presenting the business professionally, receiving enquiries, managing bookings, selling online, or providing services digitally. The final solution is not predetermined. We examine the goals, audience, and requirements of each project to define the structure, content, and functionality the website needs.
What Needs to Be Clear Before Design Begins?
We first need to understand the role the website should play for the business, who will use it, and what action it needs to make easier. Presenting services, receiving enquiries, managing bookings, selling online, and delivering services digitally each require a different structure and set of capabilities. Once these questions are clear, we can make informed decisions about the pages, content, user journeys, and functionality—without shaping the project around a template or a predetermined list of features.
What Can the Project Include?
The scope of each project is defined around its goals, content, and required functionality. A website design and development project may include:
- Understanding the business, audience, and purpose of the website
- Defining the required pages, structure, and content
- Designing user journeys and the interface for mobile and desktop
- Front-end and back-end development
- Content management system setup
- Forms and connections to required tools or services
- Performance, accessibility, and SEO foundations
- Testing, launch, and training
- Agreed post-launch support
Not every project requires all of these elements. The scope, responsibilities, and deliverables are defined before the work begins.
What Should the Website Enable?
The intended result is an independent and reliable website that communicates the value of the business clearly, works well across mobile and desktop, and guides visitors towards an appropriate next step. After launch, the website should remain manageable and ready to evolve with future needs. The specific outcome of each project is defined around its goals and agreed scope, without relying on promises of guaranteed sales or search rankings.
An Example of This Service
Maryam Zare Coaching
Maryam Zare needed an independent home for her coaching practice beyond Instagram. ZARMIND designed and launched a website that brings her professional profile, trust-building content, session booking, and online payment into one connected journey, with support and development continuing beyond launch.
How Does the Project Move Forward?
The path is adjusted to the size and requirements of each project, while the overall process continues from understanding the problem through launch and support.
Listen & Understand
We discuss the business, audience, current situation, and intended outcome.
Define the Direction
We clarify the scope, priorities, pages, content, and core functionality.
Shape the Solution
We design the content structure, user journeys, and website interface for review.
Build & Test
The approved design is developed into a working website, then tested for functionality, responsiveness, and experience.
Launch & Support
The website is launched on its final infrastructure, with an agreed path for training, support, and future development.
How Is the Project Scope Defined?
The scope is defined after reviewing what the project genuinely requires. The number and type of pages, the amount and readiness of the content, website languages, features such as forms, booking or payment, connected services, and technical complexity all affect the time and cost involved. Before work begins, the required pages and functionality, content responsibilities, deliverables, timeline, and cost are set out in the proposal and agreement. If the project requires a combination of ZARMIND services, that relationship is clarified within the same scope.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. You can begin by sharing some initial information about your business, audience, current situation, and what you expect the website to achieve. We then determine which pages, content, and functionality are needed to support that goal. If you are still considering different directions, we review the relevant options and explain the reasoning behind each recommendation.
Not necessarily. During the understanding and direction stages, we identify the information and pages the website needs and clarify which content must be prepared. You provide the essential facts about your business, services, or products. Writing, editing, or organizing the content can also be included in the project scope when agreed.
The timeline depends on the scope and circumstances of each project. The number and type of pages, content readiness, website languages, required functionality, connected services, and the time needed for review and approval all affect the schedule. After the initial review and scope definition, a realistic timeline is included in the project proposal.
The cost is estimated after the requirements have been understood and the project scope has been defined. Pages, content, languages, functionality, third-party integrations, and the complexity of the design and development all affect the estimate. Before work begins, ZARMIND’s fees, the payment stages, and any separate costs for services such as the domain, hosting, or subscription-based tools are clearly identified.
Yes. The website’s infrastructure, content, and interface can be prepared for multiple languages and both right-to-left and left-to-right layouts, depending on the project. Each language version should feel natural in its own language and maintain the quality and functionality defined in the agreed scope. The preparation, translation, and review of content for each language are also clarified before the work begins.
When the project requires it, a content management system is provided for the areas that need regular updates. During scope definition, we clarify which content will be manageable and what level of access is needed. At handover, you receive the agreed access and guidance for managing those areas.
Post-launch support can include troubleshooting, technical updates, backups, content changes, and the development of new features. Its scope, duration, response times, and cost are defined through a clear plan based on the needs of the project. Support does not include unlimited changes outside the agreed scope.
Wherever possible, the domain and core project accounts are registered to and controlled by you, while ZARMIND receives the access needed for setup and support. Hosting and other services are purchased from independent providers, and their costs are separate from ZARMIND’s fees. Renewal responsibilities, payment details, and access or transfer arrangements are clarified before the work begins.
